Torniamo un attimo indietro nel tempo. Qualche tempo fa ho assistito ad uno splendido concerto dei North Mississippi All Stars di Luther Dickinson ed il buon Luther, verso la fine della serata, ha tirato fuori una chitarra fatta con una vecchia scatola di caffè suonandoci delle cose incredibili;
così quando l'altro giorno mi sono ritrovato davanti quasi per caso un vecchio barattolo di caffè lavazza ho pensato che mi sarei potuto costruire un aggeggio simile. In quattro e quattr'otto mi sono messo ad armeggiare con trapano, chiodi, viti pezzi di ferro varii ed ho tirato fuori questa cosa qua!Fantastica vero? E la cosa incredibile è che suona pure.
Passiamo ad annoiarvi ora con le caratteristiche tecniche dell'oggetto in questione:
•Cassa armonica in latta stagionata con ponte wraparound
•Manico in legno di scopa occhiolinato, capotasto in ottone e meccanica estirpata da una vecchia chitarra da buttare (notare il particolare tecnico dell'abbassacorda).
•Pickup Piezoelettrico da 5 euro collegato ad un vecchio jack femmina trovato in giro per casa e attaccatura del manico bolt-on set-in neck-through.
•Accessori di primordine come il coperchio custom anti-feedback ne fanno un oggetto del desiderio per ogni bluesman che si rispetti.
Nel prossimo concerto ci sarà il debutto ufficiale dal vivo...(anche se in realtà c'è già stato uno pseudo debutto ufficioso ed improvvisato grazie al coraggio di Renato Tammi e dei suoi Dirty Licks che hanno deciso di invitarmi sul palco venerdi sera per il battesimo della scatola di latta).
Il prossimo step sarà farne una con una scatola di biscotti ed almeno due corde, crepi l'avarizia!

• Coffee Can Guitar
Here I am! Are you wondering what you could do when you have a free hour, an old coffee can, a broomstick and a guitar string? I thought so, I'm here to help you. Well, you could build a "Coffee Can Blues Roots Guitar"!
Let's go back in time. Not so long ago I attended a wonderful concert of the North Mississippi All Stars and Luther Dickinson, toward the end of the evening, he pulled out a guitar made from an old coffee tin can and he played incredible things; so, when I discovered almost by accident in front of me an old Lavazza coffee can I thought i should have buildt something like that. Suddenly I started to tinker with drill, nails, screws and some iron pieces and I created this wonderful guitar.
Is'nt she lovely (Like Stevie Wonder could say)?? And the amazing thing is that it sounds as well.
I spend now some word to bore you with the guitar technical specs:
•seasoned harmonic tin with wraparound bridge.
• wooden birs's eye neck, brass nut and a tuning machine eradicated from an old guitar that should be trashed.
• Piezo Pickup( 5 euros) linked to an old female jack found hanging around the house.
• Accessories such as custom first class anti-feedback hood make it an object of desire for any self-respecting bluesman.
The next concert will be the official debut live ... (although in fact there was already an improvised pseudo-official debut thanks to the courage of Renato Tammi and his Dirty Licks Band who have decided to invite me on stage Friday evening fot the baptism of the tin).
The next step will be making one with a biscuits box and at least two strings!
